Comment - Uncut single sheet omocha-e, with 4 classical large kite designs for Edo kites or Edo Kaku kites. The title of the print is written on the selvage above design No.2 ("Shin-ban-dako tsukushi", "JĤ") written in Hiragana.

A variation of the Japanese flag, often to be seen on classical kite woodblock prints, for instance 1, 2, 3, 4 ... with with the character for "Storm" (Arashi, ) within the sun symbol

A red faced monster with small horns and a bloodstained axe in the background, and grumpy old man with a black cap, holding a fan.


Please compare this print with another toy print from YOSHIFUJI , KUNITOSHI and KUNIAKI-II, as well as the small edo kite chiyogami from an unknown woodblock artist of the Meiji-era.
